Modeled-solo Galleries

Monica -- Chicago 1/22/09 : Portrait -- My summertime modeled-street now is on the shelf. For the winter, one genre I've taken is modeled solo sets, taken in neighborhoods and mod's homes/apartments/flats. The idea is to catch the mod's personality amidst her own environment and belongings, to build context of the person she is. The shoots are in natural light, the subject pin-sharp against blurred surrounds whenever possible. My working lens for small spaces like homes/apartments/flats is 24-120mm equiv f/2.8-4, so limited bokeh capability, although when I can stretch out a bit, I've a 100mm equiv f/2 that works quite well.

For the winter, one genre I've gone after is modeled solo sets, taken in neighborhoods and mod's homes/apartments/flats. The mod's apartment in this instance was small and without much character, but we worked with what we had. The weather was warm enough day to get outside, so we took advantage of that to add a bit of variety.
